Our History
SnapCare Foundation was established as the nonprofit arm of SnapCare, a nationally award-winning provider of comprehensive healthcare workforce solutions. SnapCare maintains a network of more than 400,000 nurses nationwide and has deep expertise in addressing nursing staffing challenges through technology, staffing, and workforce development. We work closely with government and healthcare partners across the country, hundreds of thousands of nurses and providers, and are providers ourselves.
We understand nursing workforce challenges at a systems level better than almost anyone. We know we are uniquely positioned to develop and deliver programs and solutions in ways that almost no one else can. And we know that solving healthcare’s urgent workforce crisis requires more than any one entity can accomplish.
That’s why SnapCare established SnapCare Foundation: to partner with communities to leverage our expertise and resources to facilitate collaborative, systems-level solutions that get at the root causes of nursing workforce attrition and retention.

Jeff Richards

Jeff Richards is a seasoned healthcare professional who saw a need to deploy healthcare providers more efficiently to medical facilities that needed talented staff quickly. He co-founded SnapCare in 2017 and has been a leading voice in the industry on how to use technology to streamline staffing services and bring more work-life balance to clinical professionals.
Jeff has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida, a Master of Medical Science from Emory University, and most recently his MBA from Kennesaw State University. Prior to co-founding SnapCare, Jeff was the Department Director and Chief Anesthetist at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeff continues to donate his time and expertise on medical missions through his work with the Yantalo Foundation and their Global Health Initiative.
