As we kick off National Nurses Month this May, SnapNurse is excited to join the celebration and honor the invaluable contributions of nurses to the healthcare industry.
This year’s theme selected by the American Nurses Association is “You Make a Difference,” recognizing the positive impact that nurses have on patients, communities, and healthcare policies.
At SnapNurse, we’ve planned a month-long virtual celebration to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of our clinicians, with each week’s activities tying back to the ANA’s theme:
Week One: Mental Conditioning
Find your Flow to Thrive at Work and in Life
This week is dedicated to cultivating and maintaining optimal mental health and well-being. At SnapNurse, we understand that self-care is essential for clinicians to provide the best possible care to their patients. That’s why we’ve invited Coach Dar, a renowned motivational speaker, to share her insights on mental conditioning and how clinicians can find their flow to thrive at work and in life. By focusing on mental well-being and self-care, we’re recognizing the important role that clinicians play in promoting healthy communities.
Week Two: Recognition
Tell your STORY!
This week is all about honoring the work of clinicians who lead, excel, and innovate in healthcare systems and communities, making them vital to transforming the future of healthcare. At SnapNurse, we want to recognize and celebrate the unique stories of our clinicians who make a difference in the lives of their patients and communities. By providing a platform for clinicians to share their experiences and recognizing them for their hard work and dedication, we love seeing the positive impact that clinicians have on their patients and the communities they serve.
Week Three: Professional Development
1 Hour of a Complimentary Continuing Education Course
This week is dedicated to providing clinicians with resources and insights to guide them in their professional development. By focusing on how clinicians can excel and lead in their nursing careers, or inspire and help others in their professional nursing journey, we’re recognizing the vast knowledge and expertise that clinicians can bring to every healthcare setting and future opportunity. That’s why we’re offering a 1-hour continuing education course on “Person-Centered Care: An Overview.” This course emphasizes the importance of patient-centered care and provides clinicians with the tools to provide high-quality, compassionate care to their patients, highlighting the positive impact that clinicians have on patients, and the communities they serve.
Week Four: Community Engagement
SnapNurse of the YEAR!
This week is all about engaging with our community, whether virtually or in-person. By educating members of our community on what clinicians do beyond the bedside, including advocacy, shaping public policy, and serving as an organization board, we’re recognizing the significant contributions that clinicians make to their communities. That’s why we’ll be calling on a special SnapNurse who has made a significant positive impact on their patients, colleagues, and community. By recognizing outstanding clinicians and featuring them as the “SnapNurse of the Year,” we’re celebrating the vital role that clinicians play in shaping and improving healthcare policies and outcomes.
As we celebrate National Nurses Month this May, we want to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the clinicians who make a difference in the lives of so many every day. By highlighting their hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and communities, we hope to inspire more individuals to consider a career in nursing and recognize the positive impact that clinicians have on our society.
