Throughout the month of May 2023, SnapNurse observed National Nurses Month — a monthly long celebration to express our deepest appreciation for the incredible contributions of our nurses nationwide. This year we came together virtually to celebrate the exceptional SnapNurses who embody the true spirit of care and compassion virtually. Let’s take a heartfelt reflection on the meaningful moments that made this Nurses Month truly unforgettable.
Week One – Self Care
May 1st – 7th
During the first week, SnapNurse centered our focus on the mental health and well-being of our extraordinary SnapNurses. We curated a virtual celebration, offering valuable resources and guidance from esteemed Coach Dar. The response was overwhelming, as our dedicated clinicians embraced the importance of self-care. With 585 new profile completions, we had the privilege of awarding 50 winners with signed copies of “The Art of Bouncing Back,” inspiring them to find resilience and strength. Additionally, 5 lucky SnapNurses received $200 massage certificates, providing a well-deserved opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Week Two – Recognition
May 8th – 14th
In the second week, we wanted to shine a light on the incredible stories and experiences of our remarkable SnapNurses. We invited them to share glimpses of their journeys through 2-minute videos. The response was incredible with over 80 submissions! Each submission was a testament to the dedication, compassion, and resilience that define the nursing profession. Five winners won $400 SnapNurse store credits for submitting their stories! These stories touched our hearts and reminded us of the profound impact our SnapNurses have on the lives of patients and their communities.
Week Three – Professional Development
May 15th – 21st
SnapNurse is committed to supporting the growth and development of our nursing community. During the third week, we offered a complimentary 1-hour CE course titled “The Future of Nursing: Leading With Innovation & Compassion.” The response was remarkable, with over 350 SnapNurses RSVP’d into the course, ten participants won $100 of SnapNurse credit! The engagement demonstrated their commitment to continuous learning and their passion for delivering exceptional care. We were proud to provide them with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance their practice.
Week Four – Community Engagement
May 22nd – 31st
As Nurses Month drew to a close, we turned our attention to community engagement—a testament to the remarkable connections our SnapNurses have formed. We proudly announced Phillipah K as the SnapNurse of the Year and awarding her $5,000. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her patients and the nursing profession exemplified the qualities that make our nursing community extraordinary.
